To the dude having personal phone conversations outside my cube...

STFU!  Seriously!

I appreciate that you stepped away from YOUR cube to take your call so as not to disturb your fellow team members BUT do you not realize that you are STILL IN THE CUBE FARM when you walk two or three rows over from your aisle?

It is bad enough that I sit at the outside edge of my aisle, along a heavily trafficked corridor. I struggle daily to maintain my focus with the loud conversations that people have with one another as they walk by and don't get me started on the buzzing from a bad transformer nearby.

Today, your conversation really started to get on my nerves. Do you know your call lasted about 15 minutes? Do you know that after five minutes your voice started to buzz in my ear even more intrusively than the transformer? After 10 minutes, I couldn't even focus on the code I was trying to write because your continuous conversation was the only thing that could keep my attention! The worst part of it is that you didn't even have a remotely interesting conversation. No anger at the outcome of the Superbowl; no disclosure that your wife or girlfriend is cheating on you; NOTHING! Not one, single interesting thing was divulged in your conversation. It was like listening to the worlds most boring DJ discussing the emotional stirrings brought on by listening to the musical stylings of Lawrence Welk.

(sigh)

At least you have moved on and gone back to your cube. Next time, please take your call to the lobby just a few steps farther down the hall.
